How to Create Privileged WEB Access in CyberVision

Purpose

Create a WEB access entry (URL + credentials) for controlled access to web systems through the portal.

---

Prerequisites

  • Permission to use the Web module.
  • Target URL with protocol (http:// or https://).
  • Valid credentials (username/password).

---

Step-by-step

1) Open the WEB module

1. In the left menu, click Web.

2. Click Add.

2) Fill in the Create Web form

Name

  • Enter a clear, operational label for the access entry.

Why?

A clear name improves identification, ownership, and daily operations.

Url

  • Enter the full target address, including protocol.
  • You may use either:
  • the main application URL, or
  • the direct login page URL.

Why?

The URL defines the exact destination that users will launch from the portal.

Username

  • Enter the account username for the target web application.

Why?

This defines which identity is used for authentication.

Password

  • Enter the account password for the target web application.

Why?

This is the secret associated with the username for login.

3) Save

  • Click Save to store the WEB access entry.
  • Click Cancel to discard changes.

---

Expected result

  • A success confirmation is displayed.
  • The new entry appears in the Web list.

---

Post-creation actions

From the Actions column in the Web list:

  • Edit icon: update entry fields.
  • Launch/Open icon: start/open the configured web access.

---

Best practices

  • Prefer https:// endpoints whenever available.
  • Use naming standards (example: WEB - HR - Production).
  • Keep entries scoped to business need and review them periodically.
  • Restrict creation/edit permissions to authorized roles only.
